IYT Mission Statement: 

The Idaho Youth Tennis' mission is to promote tennis to young athletes and their families in a safe, professional, and of course, fun environment.

IYT wishes to instill a positive and healthy lifestyle that coincides with the philosophy of the great, social, and life-long sport of tennis. 

                     

IYT is a tennis program for young athletes ages 4-17. We offer
beginning, intermediate, and advanced tennis lessons.
  Sign your child or school up for group or private lessons,
2 week mini-camps, or once a week lessons.
Your 4-6 year old child will learn:

forehand/backhand ground strokes

forehand/backhand volleys

sportsmanship &

coordination!!!

                     

Tennis athletes ages 7-17 will also learn:

serving and return of serves,

scoring, tennis strategies,

and even match play! ! !

You, the parent, will have the satisfaction of knowing
your 'little athlete' will excel at not only tennis, but will also
learn the sportsmanship, skills and hand-to-eye
coordination necessary to propel them at any other activity!

Each 45-minute lesson for 4-6 year olds and 1 hour lesson for 7-17 years old begins with a fun but challenging
5-15 minute warm-up exercise.  IYT then begins a fast-paced, challenging, exciting, and of course fun, tennis lesson.  Idaho Youth Tennis uses tennis equipment specifically designed for the smaller size of your little athlete ! ! !

Idaho Youth Tennis is designed to fill the gap between the 'beginning and intermediate' tennis athlete and the more 'advanced', 'club' or 'school' tennis athlete.  We hope that each child will learn to appreciate the great game of tennis on a 'recreational' level and, if so desired, advance to the next level of play.  The next step is to join their own school tennis program, get private lessons, or remain at the recreation level.  Our main objective is just to give them the opportunity to try this great game, whether to compete locally, regionally, and/or nationally or just to have some skills and be able to compete and have fun with their family and friends.  We feel tennis is one of the only life-long sports out there and we would love to introduce this great game to you and your children.
